Shorter Day. Good news, they have already posted the Day 3 standings. Here we go:

So day one I was 17th, Day 2 15th, and Day 3 12th. I'm moving up the pack.
We woke up to very heavy rains:
After the riders meeting, we waited until about 8:30 and took off.
But it cleared up pretty quick:
And the riding was fine..,
at least for a while. After checkpoint 2, more rain
The rain stopped just before arriving in Cape Girardeau. We checked into the hotel and dried out a bit. Frank and I headed out to the post office to ship some unneeded gear home and make a little more cargo space.
We then submitted out daily times, and went out for dinner. Ending up at Andy's Frozen Custard.
We also had to do laundry with everything being wet. Unfortunately, the hotel dryer would not do more than permanent press heat. I think we went through about 6 cycles. Thanks Frank for Guarding through the night.
And that day is history.
